1c-13c 1902 Issue. Set of blocks of four through the 13c, missing only the 6c, including two each of 1c and 13c, original gum, mostly Mint N.H., the 8c block and a couple stamps each in the 2c and 4c hinged, bright colors and fresh, mostly Fine with some Very Fine stamps, Scott value as singles

5c Blue, Imperforate (315). Bottom imprint and plate no. 4075 block of six, original gum, lightly hinged, large even margins, naturally gummed at bottom edge, Very Fine and attractive plate block
5c Blue, Coil (317). Original gum, lightly hinged with light pencil notation, deep rich color and sharp impression, attractive marginsFRESH AND FINE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 5-CENT 1908 VERTICAL COIL.
According to Johl, these first government coils were an experiment, and collectors and dealers were generally unaware of their existence. Regular sheets of 400 were printed and then perforated in only one direction. They were then cut into strips of 20. The strips were then hand pasted together to form rolls. As such, they are almost always strongly centered to one side.

Issued on July 31, 1908, and intended only to be used by private vending machine companies, Scott 322 is only known with the Die II widened line at lower left.
With copies for 1945 A.P.S. and 1984 P.F. certificates for a pair. With 2014 P.S.A.G. certificate as this single (70 ogH).
1c Green, Louisiana Purchase, Large Die Proof on India (323P1). Die sunk on 182 x 152mm card, gorgeous deep color, blue Bureau control number on back, couple tiny toned spots far from stamp design, Very Fine
1c Green, Louisiana Purchase, Small Die Proof on Wove (323P1). Larger margins than the usual Roosevelt proof, probably because this was created later, small stain spot at bottom right, appears Very Fine and rare, the 1904 Louisiana Purchase issue was not yet released when the Roosevelt presentation albums were prepared in 1903, and so was not included in the initial album production, several years after the albums were produced, ten were updated with stamp issues that came after 1903, therefore, Roosevelt proofs of post-1903 issues are more than eight times rarer than proofs of the earlier issues
3c Violet, Louisiana Purchase, Small Die Proof on Wove (325P2). Rich color, light diagonal crease at bottom left, appears Very Fine and rare, the 1904 Louisiana Purchase issue was not yet released when the Roosevelt presentation albums were prepared in 1903, and so was not included in the initial album production, several years after the albums were produced, ten were updated with stamp issues that came after 1903, therefore, Roosevelt proofs of post-1903 issues are more than eight times rarer than proofs of the earlier issues, with 1999 P.F. certificate
1c-3c Louisiana Purchase, "ULTRAMAR" Ovpt. (323S-325S). Original gum, old certificates call the 1c "sweated" and the 2c-3c "part o.g." but the gum is essentially full on all three, clear overprints, 1c small corner crease and 2c tiny tear, appear Fine, very rare, the Portuguese Ministry for the Colonies applied the "Ultramar" overprint, meaning "overseas", upon receipt of the stamps from U.P.U. headquarters in Berne, between 1900 and 1910 the stamps were distributed to the various colonies with this overprint, with a few exceptions this was replaced with "Colonias" in 1911, these are the first Louisiana Purchase stamps listed in Power Search, with 1983 P.F. certificates

2c Carmine, Louisiana Purchase (324). Mint N.H. left pane of 50 with imprint and plate no. 2184 at top and bottom, bright color, includes some well-centered stamps, a few perf separations in the left selvage and small piece of bottom right corner selvage missing, Fine-Very Fine
2c Carmine, Louisiana Purchase (324). Mint N.H. left pane of 50 with imprint and plate no. 2167 at top and bottom, fresh color, a few perf separations at right, small pencil notation in top selvage, two very faint toned spots on gum, one of which affects the bottom plate block, Fine-Very Fine
3c Violet, Louisiana Purchase (325). Mint N.H. left pane of 50 with imprint and plate no. 2104 at top and bottom, rich color, several well-centered stamps, gum bend affects two stamps at leftFINE-VERY FINE. A RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED PANE OF THE 3-CENT LOUISIANA PURCHASE.

1c-10c Louisiana Purchase (323-327). Set of top and bottom plate no. blocks of ten neatly mounted on exhibition pages, all with full side selvage, top plates are all full tops, many Mint N.H., a couple lightly hinged and a few of the tops are faintly hinged only in the ungummed selvage, a couple with minor perf separations, top 2c with pre-printing fold in the selvage causing irregular perfs, top 10c with small crayon mark in selvage, fresh colors, Fine-Very Fine and handsome set of top and bottom plate blocks, Scott value is $10,000.00 just as hinged plate blocks of six, the actual Scott value (depending on which are counted as never hinged and the extra four stamps) could be significantly higher
