Sale 958, Lot 726, Newspapers and Periodicals6c Intense Black, 1894 Issue (PR93). Mint N.H., beautifully centered with wide margins, sharp proof-like impression

EXTREMELY FINE. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE RARE 6-CENT 1894 FIRST BUREAU NEWSPAPER STAMP.

In our opinion, the catalogue value for this stamp is not commensurate with its rarity. There was only one printing of the 6c of this series, and only 9,705 stamps were issued.

With 2006 P.S.E. certificate. Scott Retail as hinged
