2c Rose, Ty. I, Double Impression (499g). Showing clear doubling of the design, neat wavy-line machine cancel, Fine and rare, only seven used examples are recorded in our census which is available at our website at https://siegelauctions.com/census/us/scott/499g (this is No. 499g-CAN-07), with 2014 P.S.E. certificate
5c Rose, Error (505). Mint N.H., flawless centering with wide margins, beautiful fresh colorEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SPECTACULAR MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF SCOTT 505, WHICH IS GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
During the production of the normal 2c plate No. 7942, three positions were noted to be defective. The plate was sent back to the siderographer, who burnished out the three positions and mistakenly re-entered them using a transfer roll for the 5c stamp. The error passed unnoticed and the sheets were issued to the public as Perf 10, Imperforate and Perf 11 (Scott 467, 485 and 505).
With 2018 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $4,250.00). Only two have graded higher (both 100) and only nine others share this desirable grade
5c Rose, Error (505). Mint N.H. single error in a horizontal strip of three, nicely centered, fresh color, Very Fine
7c Black (507). Mint N.H., intense shade and proof-like impression on bright white paper, near perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2011 and 2018 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $1,300.00), only three grade higher (highest is 100)
13c Apple Green (513). Barely hinged, vivid color, mathematically perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2018 P.S.E. certificate (OGph, Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98J), this is the only original-gum hinged example of Scott 513 to achieve this perfect grade (one Mint N.H. is also graded 100)
50c Red Violet (517). Mint N.H., exceptional centering with wide margins, rich color on fresh paper, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2007 and 2017 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $1,300.00)
$1.00 Violet Brown (518). Mint N.H., deep rich color and proof-like impression on bright paper, wide margins and choice centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2018 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $525.00)
2c Carmine (519). Barest trace of hinging, well-centered with balanced margins, Extremely Fine, with 1998 P.F. certificate
2c Carmine (519). Intense shade, neat wavy-line machine cancel, wide margins, Very Fine and choice, with 1989 P.F. certificate
$2.00 Orange Red & Black (523). Single hinge mark, fresh colors, wide margins and choice centering, Extremely Fine, with 2001 P.F. certificate
$5.00 Deep Green & Black (524). Mint N.H., intense colors and proof-like impressions, near perfect centering with wide marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1918 $5.00 BI-COLOR ISSUE, WHICH IS GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
With 2016 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $2,650.00). Only three grade higher (highest is 100).
1c Green (531). Mint N.H. with top plate no. 9523 sheet margin, Jumbo margins other sides with portions of all five surrounding stamps, fresh color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2017 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; SMQ $150.00 as 100, unpriced in 100J grade)
2c Carmine, Ty. V, Imperforate (533). Mint N.H., Jumbo margins all around including portions of five adjoining stamps and plate no. 11260 at left, small picked-at paper inclusion in Washington's hair is mentioned on accompanying P.S.E. certificate but not on P.F. certificate, Extremely Fine appearance, with 2018 P.F. (Gem 100 Jumbo) and 2018 P.S.E. certificates (VF-XF 85 Jumbo, downgraded for the inclusion)
2c Carmine, Ty. V, Imperforate (533). Jumbo margins with portions of all five adjoining stamps and plate no. 11260 at right, vivid color, Benton Harbor Mich. duplex cancels, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect and very desirable with the plate no., with 2018 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $1,000.00 as 100), only six other examples have achieved this ultimate grade, we have encountered a couple of the others and neither had a plate number, collectors should not confuse the wide availability of earlier engraved Washington-Franklin imperforate multiples in unused condition, many of which have been cut up to create Jumbo singles, with the availability of offset imperforates, which are scarce as large used multiples
1c Gray Green, Horizontal Pair, Imperforate Vertically (536a). Mint N.H., natural s.e. at right as always, fresh color, Fine, we have offered only six pairs and one block since keeping computerized records, Scott Retail as hinged
$2.00 Carmine & Black (547). Mint N.H., radiant colors, outstanding centering with wide marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. AN OUTSTANDING MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE $2.00 CARMINE & BLACK, WHICH IS GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E.
With 2011 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $2,350.00). Only one stamp has graded higher (at 100)
2c Pilgrim Tercentenary (549). Mint N.H., perfectly centered with Jumbo margins, brilliant color, Extremely Fine Gem, a phenomenal stamp in every respect, with 2018 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $900.00), only one grades higher (at 100) and only five others share this lofty grade
