2c Black Jacks, Stamp Balance. Miscellaneous balance of nearly 30 off-cover stamps, a few nicer items including couple unused, used two No. 73 P.S.E. graded VF 80, star fancy cancel, double transfer, part imprint selvage, pair with railroad cancel, misperfed, others, some faults to be expected but overall Fine
2c Black Jacks, Balance of the Flannery Exhibit (73, 87, 93). Extensive balance on double-size exhibit pages, both stamps and covers with detailed writeups and numerous highlights, for stamps the balance includes some unused, printing varieties, cancels including green, grilled issues include used strips of four of No. 87 and original gum block of four of No. 93, corner selvage strip of No. 93, couple singles showing part imprint, strength in covers including No. 85B Z Grill on newspaper wrapper, a flag Patriotic, variety of cancels, uses with other stamps, corner cards for musical institute and several others, illustrated covers, part imprints on cover, registered uses with other stamps, military official business, two strips of three on a large-size legal deposition cover, Valentine cover, uses as revenue stamps on documents, some foreign mail including block of four and single (which is a replacement) on cover to Canada, others to Canada, England, France, Germany, Switzerland and Chile, condition is mixed with faults to be generally expected, still Fine and impressive balance of an outstanding exhibit, numerous certificates accompany
2c Black Jacks, Cover Balance. Extensive balance of more than 55 covers, both domestic and foreign but mostly domestic, wide range from ordinary to a bit more interesting, including a block of four on an out-of-period 1929 flight cover with 30c Columbian and other stamps, use with 3c 1869 Pictorial, some illustrated or corner cards including a few quite nice, foreign uses include another out-of-period with 6c and 8c Columbian stamps to Germany, uses to England, Italy, Peru (front only), Canada, some of these with multi-color frankings, lots of others best viewed on our website PDF, mixed condition, overall Fine, Scott value as all plain domestic covers at $85 each exceeds $4,600 and there are several $100-$250 covers present in the lot, also includes a caricature envelope of President Andrew Johnson in the style of the Black Jack stamps, called "Black John"
