Complete set in panes of 50 with imprint and plate nos. at top and bottom, arrows at left or right, natural s.e. other side, 1c h.r. on three stamps incl. one in bottom plate block as well as in bottom selvage, top plate block and remaining stamps Mint N.H., Fine-Very Fine, 2c small h.r. straddles two stamps and selvage in bottom plate block, top plate block and remaining stamps Mint N.H., mostly Very Fine, 3c and 5c completely Mint N.H., Very Fine and choice, 10c eight stamps with small h.r. reinforcing minor perf separations (pos. 1-2, 6/11, 16/21, 31/36), the h.r. on pos. 2 barely affects the top plate block, rest Mint N.H. incl. bottom plate block which has a small gum adherence, couple inconsequential selvage edge flaws at top, Very FineAN OUTSTANDING AND RARE SET OF PANES OF 50 OF THE 1904 LOUISIANA PURCHASE ISSUE.
A review using Power Search revealed that this is the first set of panes we have offered since our 2006 Rarities sale. Due to the difficulty of finding well-centered Mint N.H. singles, most panes have been broken.
