11c Progress in Electronics, Olive Omitted (C86c). Mint N.H., Olive color completely omitted and just showing traces of the Vermilion color where the bottom frameline normally appears, wide margins and choice centering, Extremely Fine, with 1976 A.P.S. certificate calling this C86a in error -- if any traces of Vermilion appear this is defined as Scott C86c, rather than C86a (Vermilion and Olive omitted)
16c Red & Blue, Air Post Special Delivery, Horizontal Pair, Imperforate Vertically (CE2a). Mint N.H. with left sheet margin, pencil positions of 16-17 noted on reverse, exceptional centering, brilliant colorEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 16-CENT RED & BLUE AIR POST SPECIAL DELIVERY HORIZONTAL PAIR, IMPERFORATE VERTICALLY.
A single sheet of this error was discovered at a Buffalo N.Y. post office. It was ultimately broken up by H. E. Harris & Co. after showing the complete sheet at the 1947 New York City CIPEX Show. Datz states that 10 pairs are recorded. This example, with essentially perfect centering, may be the finest known pair.
