Block of four, original gum, h.r., extraordinarily choice centering, rich color, tiny perf tear at top right and both pairs have faint horizontal creases which do not affect the Extremely Fine appearance of this scarce block, blocks of the 1c 1869 Pictorial Issue are rarely encountered with such precise centering

Balance of 20 used stamps, collected for a wide range of cancels, including red and blue, foreign transit, leaf, crossroads, neat grids, circle of hearts, others, a few small faults but overall an attractive and diverse group, two P.F. certificates accompany, Scott value without premium for any colored cancels
2c Brown (113). Mint N.H., rich color and detailed impression, unusually choice centeringEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE.

More than 110 stamps including nine pairs, collected for a wide range of cancels showing lots of variety, some highlights include four cancelled in green, also grid of diamonds, leafs, rosettes, "Paid", heart, target, many different stars, more than 20 cancelled in blue, others, obviously some small flaws will be encountered in such an accumulation but many sound stamps present as well, overall Fine and very attractive group, Scott value more than $2,600.00

A Power Search review reveals how elusive this issue is with a red cancel. We did not find a single additional example in our sale records going back to 1993.
With 1981 and 2008 P.F. certificates. Scott does not price the 1869 Re-Issues with colored cancels. Scott value for normal black cancel.

30c Ultramarine & Carmine, Re-Issue (131). Rich colors, unobtrusive registry oval cancel leaves entire design clearly visible, wide margins, Very Fine, P.S.E. estimates approximately 40 are known used, with 1997 P.F. and 2018 P.S.E. certificates
