3c Rose, Off-Cover Cancel Accumulation (65). Well over 1,500 stamps in a single box, wide range with many slightly better as the collector generally sought interesting cancels, a great many were bought as "fancy" cancels and some truly are (though often stretching the meaning of the word), nonetheless there are hundreds that are attractive and interesting, including colored, numerous shields, stars (including a Star of David and a "UNION"), leaves, geometrics and other shapes, numerals, letters, auxiliary markings, some grilled stamps and even some 3c 1857 stamps, a few fakes may be present as well, mixed condition obviously but sorting will yield deep groups of many of the aforementioned topics, overall a Fine horde worth review
5c Buff, Brown Yellow, Red Brown, Brown (67, 67a, 75-76, 95). Large and impressive assemblage of 5c 1861-68 stamps, including eleven singles and a pair of No. 67 or 67a, seven singles of No. 75, more than a dozen singles of No. 76 plus a strip of three and a pair on piece, one No. 95, nice range of cancels including a number with red or blue, many with attractive centering including some of the No. 67s, small faults to be expected but none are truly defective, overall Fine-Very Fine appearing group, rarely does one see this many 5c Buff and Brown Yellow stamps together, Scott value exceeds $17,000
1867-68 Grilled Issue, Balance (83/101). 24 stamps and two covers, mix of used and unused, lots of better Scott nos. including 83, 85B (three, including one unused), 85E, 86-87 (unused), 90 pair, 91 (two), 95 (unused), 97 (three apparently unused), 98 (unused), 99, 100 (three) and 101, also No. 91 on a colorful cover to France and No. 92 pair on domestic cover, very mixed condition with faults expected nearly throughout, also centering on the better stamps ranges from Very Good-Fine at best, overall a useful group, seven P.F. or P.S.E. certificates accompany, Scott value well exceeds $20,000
6c-90c 1869 Pictorial Issue, Balance (115/122). 11 stamps including some unused, includes Nos. 115 (unused), 118 (four, one appears unused but possibly light cancel), 119 (unused, regummed), 120, 121 (three, one unused) and 122, several with small faults including No. 122 short perf and corner crease, some are actually sound, overall an attractive balance, five certificates accompany, Scott value counting the mentioned No. 118 as used and the other unused stamps as no-gum
1970-90 Bank Note Issues, Balance. Group of approximately 30 stamps on dealer pages, range of issues with mostly unused along with some used stamps from the 1870 Grilled issue thru 1890 Small Bank Notes, a number of better Scott numbers unused and even some original gum and Mint N.H., some faults to be expected but many are sound and more might have been individual lots if the centering was better, overall Fine, a review of our linked PDF is the best way to understand the lot but total dealer prices on the pages exceed $11,000, seven certificates accompany
Bank Note Issues Balance. 16 stamps from an old-time collection which appear to be unused, including Nos. 145-154, 156, 157, 159, 161, 162 and 163, mostly no gum, some with what appears to be original gum or slightly disturbed gum, some faults to be expected, still a Fine appearing group with high Scott value
1893 Columbian Issue, Balance (233/245). Unused group with better items including 4c block of four and block of six with part imprint, eight of those ten stamps Mint N.H., 6c India proof block of four, two Mint N.H. 8c and a Mint N.H. 10c, original gum 50c, three $1.00 including one original gum and two no gum, finally a $5.00 regummed and reperfed, a couple faults outside of the $5.00 but overall a Fine group of mostly sound stamps, several certificates accompany, Scott value approximately $6,000
$1.00-$2.00 Columbian, $1.00-$2.00 Trans-Mississippi (241-242, 292-293). Six used stamps including two each of the $1.00-$2.00 Columbians, mostly oval cancels, a few small faults but all appear Fine-Very Fine
1894-1902 Bureau Issues, Balance. Small balance of seven original gum items on dealer pages, most are labeled Mint N.H. and we agree except for one, includes Nos. 251 (labeled N.H. but we disagree), 258P5 pair (hinged), 259, 279Bj, 279Bc, 300b (lightly hinged) and 303 with part imprint selvage, some Fine centering up to Extremely Fine for No. 303, dealer prices on the cards add up to approximately $3,400
$1.00-$2.00 1894-1902 Bureau Issues, Balance (261A/312). Six unused stamps, including Nos. 261A (regummed), 262 (regummed), 262 (either regummed or part redistributed original gum), 276 (original gum), 311 (original gum) and 312 (disturbed gum), a few small non-obvious flaws, overall Fine, Scott value with only Nos. 276 and 311-312 original gum
Early Commemoratives Balance, 1898-1915. Nine original gum singles or plate blocks on dealer pages, including Nos. 287 (N.H.), 289 (P.S.E. cert as N.H. but it is not), 287 plate block of four (h.r. reinforcing perf separations and color slightly oxidized), 291 (lightly hinged), 295 (N.H.), 368 and 373 plate blocks (N.H., two of the latter), finally No. 404 with original gum and choice centering, perf disc indent, total dealer prices on the sheets add up to approximately $4,000, three certificates accompany

6c Eagle, Dark Blue & Carmine, Air Post (C23). Collection of 1,291 plate blocks of four, wide range of combinations but does include duplication, many have premiums in the Durland plate block catalog, spot check showed Mint N.H. though there may be an occasional hinged, Fine-Very Fine, owner's calculated Durland value $14,277, Scott value $9,079
6c Eagle, Dark Blue & Carmine, Air Post (C23). Collection of 889 different plate no. combination blocks of four out of a possible 1,527 combinations, without duplication, this collection is 58% complete and includes quite a few which have premium values according to the Durland plate block catalog, spot check showed Mint N.H. though there may be an occasional hinged, Fine-Very Fine, owner's calculated Durland value $13,794 Scott value $6,223

Postal Stationery Collection, 1853-1958. Comprehensive range of Scott album pages with cut squares, including Nos. U1-U7, U9-U18, U23, U24, U28, U29, U30-U33, U40-U47, U66-U68, U135, U168, several other better, nearly all unused, generally with four nice margins, some faults but most are Fine-Very Fine, a valuable collection with an unusually high degree of completion, Scott value in excess of $40,000
Christmas Seals Multiples. Large collection of mostly multiples and sheets, including large blocks or sheets of WX5 (many sheets), WX10, large group of blocks of WX12-13, WX16, WX18 (more than 1,000 stamps), WX19 (24 sheets of 100, lots of perf separations), stamps from issues after WX19, perf separations the norm and some WX5 sheets with telescoping, overall Very Fine, high Scott value, a cursory review added up to over $15,000
