Perfectly centered with wide and balanced margins, rich colors on bright paper, neat First Day machine cancel at bottom, Extremely Fine Gem, rare in used condition, only this single and one on a First Day cover have been certified as genuine by the Philatelic Foundation, a large number of unused copies have also been certified, the First Day cancel on this is especially desirable, with 2007 P.F. certificate, listed but unpriced in Scott

Wide margins, used with horizontal pair of 10c Jane Adams and vertical pair of 2c, tied by mute ovals on registered cover to Memphis Tenn., purple "Los Angeles Calif. (Metropolitan Sta.) Registered Aug. 21, 1944" and receiving backstamps, few small toned spots incl. one affecting a perf tip of the variety, Very Fine, a rare example of this variety used on a contemporary commercial registered cover, this is the only example we have offered since keeping computerized records and the Philatelic Foundation has never certified a used example, with 2006 A.P.S. certificate, listed but unpriced in Scott in any condition

Block of four, choice centering throughout, rich colors, one impression of offset black printed under flag colors and second impression printed on top of flag colors, neat "First Day of Issue" machine cancel at center, few perf separations

EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE USED BLOCK OF FOUR OF THE 5-CENT YUGOSLAVIA WITH A DOUBLE IMPRESSION OF THE OFFSET BLACK PRINTED BOTH UNDER AND ON TOP OF THE FLAG COLORS. THIS IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE CERTIFIED AS GENUINE BY THE PHILATELIC FOUNDATION.

A review of the Philatelic Foundation's records failed to find another certified example of this rare and unusual variety. With 2002 A.P.S. and 2004 P.F. certificates. Listed but unpriced in Scott. Our estimate is based on its 2004 auction price of $2,750 hammer.

Sale 1028, Lot 508, Overrun Countries (Scott 909-920)5c Albania, Double Impression of "Albania" (918a). Wide margins, rich color, clear doubling of "Albania" at bottom, tied by "Washington D.C. Nov. 9 9-AM 1943" First Day cancel on cover to Van Wert Ohio, fresh and Very Fine, a rare example of this double impression variety, this is the only used example certified as genuine by the Philatelic Foundation, an unused single and pair have also been certified, with 2000 A.P.S. and 2006 P.F. certificates, Scott Catalogue lists but has a dash for this as unused, but they do not have a dash for used, it is so rare that they must be unaware that this exists in used condition, we have notified them to correct the record
