RN-B1 (Scott Retail $3.00 each), RN-C1 (Scott Retail $4.00 each), RN-D1 and RN-D4 (Scott Retail $4.00 and $5.00 each), 1898 Spanish-American War Issue (2c, mostly Yellow), perhaps a couple others, balance is bank checks with 2c Revenue stamps (mostly R135), Fine and interesting lot with Scott Retail value likely in excess of $6,000.00

North Carolina, Revenue Stamp Large Die Essays. Four, in Black, Green, Orange and Carmine, "North Carolina" and state crest at top, blank value tablet below, each on India paper and die sunk on approximately 227 x 152mm cards, the India paper with untrimmed edges around the die sinkage area, die numbers at top and signed on the die "John Hay", which appears in reverse, also pencil signed by Hay on the cards, Green with toning spots and Carmine with staple holes, otherwise Very Fine and interesting group, Hay was a prominent banknote company engraver and is listed in Gene Hessler's The Engraver's Line on page 166
