This typographed essay contains the same design elements as the 1c UX1E-W essays, but with the Liberty head indicia instead of the 1870 stamp issue Franklin head. Like the previous essay, this has been attributed to National Bank Note Co. manager James MacDonough.

Three typographed essays on yellowish wove, in Blue, Light Blue and Salmon Pink, similar sizes and 38 x 44mm on average, two with slight thinning, still Very Fine and rare, as with other National Bank Note Company forerunner essays, these are attributed to company manager James MacDonough, ex "Georgian"
Albino Liberty Head, 1873 National Bank Note Co. Essay on Glazed White Wove (UPSS E3C-b). Embossed vignette on 54 x 66mm wove paper, Very Fine, this design was essayed for use on postal entires but was not adopted, ex "Georgian", with 1978 P.F. certificate
1c Black on White Card, Bureau of Engraving & Printing, 1886 Postal Card Essay (UX9E-Aa). Engraved die essay in negative cut to shape and mounted on 119 x 60mm card, intense shade creating a striking appearance against the white backgroundVERY FINE. AN OUSTANDING AND UNIQUE ESSAY.

Oct 19 1895" double oval handstamp, pencil "Kidder No 2 In use 1 yr", handstamped nearly four months before date of issue for the card as listed in USPCC, probably unique, ex Falberg, illustrated in UPSS Essay & Proof Catalog (p. 173)
2c Black on White Glazed Card, Bureau of Engraving & Printing, 1952 Postal Card Essay (UX43E-A). Typographed design similar to the design of UX28 but with 2c value, printed on 134 x 70mm glazed card with manuscript "June 28 -- 1918" at bottom left and "Essay No. 2" at bottom right, blue Bureau control no. 902519 on back, few abrasions of the glazing, still Very Fine and unique essay, illustrated in UPSS Essays & Proofs Catalog (p. 254), UPSS value
