Deep color, filled thins, sealed tear at right, corner repair at bottom right, otherwise Fine, the Aldrich census records only 13 examples of this Match stamp rarity, all but one have faults, we have offered only three others since keeping computerized records, with 2013 P.F. certificate
Allen & Powers, 1c Blue, Pink Paper (RO6c). Massive Jumbo margins and perfect centering, rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, an exceptionally choice example of this issue

Ex "Scarsdale". Of the twelve recorded examples, at least nine are faulty to some degree. At least one of the three potentially sound copies has perfs into the design on two sides.
H. Bendel & Co., 12c Brown, Silk Paper (RO27b). Gorgeous rich color and detailed impression, wide to Jumbo margins, completely soundEXTREMELEY FINE GEM. THIS IS BY FAR THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF THE H. BENDEL 12-CENT MATCH STAMP WE HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. A TRULY SUPERB EXAMPLE OF THIS SCARCE STAMP.
This is easily and by far the finest condition example of this scarce and striking Match stamp we have ever offered. A Power Search review shows that every example we have offered since 1993 has had a combination of faults and only Fine centering. The Aldrich census records only 42 examples with the vast majority faulty

Intense shade and impression, few clearly visible silk fibers, clipped perfs at bottom, few thins, otherwise Fine, scarce, the Buck plant was destroyed by fire circa 1870 and was never rebuilt, leaving a brief period when the stamps would have been used, only 20 are recorded in the Aldrich census, ex Bulkley, with 2012 P.F. certificate
D. Burhans & Co., 1c Black, Silk Paper (RO46b). Showing many silk fibers, repaired vertical tear down the centerFINE APEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT D. BURHANS & CO. ISSUE ON SILK PAPER.
Only seven are recorded in the Aldrich census. With 2013 P.F. certificate
D. Burhans & Co., 1c Black, Experimental Silk Paper (RO46e). Showing small silk fibers which are markedly different from those in the previous lot, thin spot and couple short perfs, only the former mentioned on accompanying certificate, Fine appearance, though overshadowed by the Silk paper variety, this is a rare stamp as well with only 18 recorded in Aldrich book, of which only half are potentially sound (and very likely fewer than that), ex "Scarsdale", with 2009 P.F. certificate
Byam, Carlton & Co., 1c Black, Watermarked, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Horizontally (RO49i). With right selvage, original gum, lightly hinged, intense shade, bottom stamp small thin spot, Very Fine appearance, a scarce variety and especially desirable with the selvage, ex Bulkley, with 2012 P.F. certificate
Byam, Carlton & Co., 1c Black, Watermarked, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Horizontally (RO49i). Block of four with right selvage, containing two of the imperforate horizontally pairs, well-centered with wide margins, fresh and Extremely Fine, a beautiful and rare block, Scott Retail as two pairs
Byam, Carlton & Co., 1c Black Wrapper, 95 x 57mm (RO56a var). Showing dramatic foldover misprint with large portion of stamp design missing and printed on the other side (visible on front as a negative image due to the thin nature of the paper), Extremely Fine and striking variety
Chicago Match Co., 3c Black, Old Paper (RO60a). Deep shade, small faults at top right, Fine appearance, scarce issue with only 42 recorded in Aldrich book which notes "virtually all the copies I have seen have some perforations touching the design somewhere on the stamp", with 2013 P.F. certificate
Henry A. Clark, 1c Green, Silk Paper (RO61b). Beautifully balanced margins top-to-bottom and side-to-side, deep rich color on bright paper, Extremely Fine Gem
James L. Clark, 1c Green, Watermarked, Rouletted (RO63d). Deep rich color, attractive margins and centering, couple small thin spots, Very Fine appearance, only 30 are recorded in the Aldrich census of which at least half have faults (and probably more than that as every example we have sold since 1993 has had a fault)
W. D. Curtis Matches, 1c Green, Experimental Silk Paper (RO68e). Choice centering, deep rich color, Very Fine example of this beautiful Match stamp design, ex "Scarsdale", with 2007 P.F. certificate
Aug. Eichele, 1c Black, Old Paper (RO76a). Intense shade and proof-like impression, perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp, this is the only issuance for Augustus Eichele and is very unusual in this quality, ex "Scarsdale"
Eichele & Co., 1c Blue, Watermarked, Rouletted (RO79d). Rich color, fresh and Very Fine, scarce in sound condition, ex Tolman and "Scarsdale", with 2007 P.F. certificate

Of the 15 recorded in the Aldrich book, at least nine are faulty and about half have perfs cutting into the design. The Joyce sale contained only one, with perfs in at bottom.
