PHILIPPINES, 1938-40, 2c-5p Small "Commonwealth" Ovpts. (433-446). Imprint and plate no. blocks of six, the 4p is a double plate no. block of four, other bicolors with corner selvage and both plate nos., generally small h.r. at top in either selvage or top stamps, few natural gum bends etc., Fine-Very Fine, a scarce assemblage, the plate multiples are unlisted in Scott, Scott Retail as Mint N.H. singles $2,184.00
PHILIPPINES, 1939, 2c Rose, Booklet Pane of Six, Bottom Left Stamp "WEALTH COMMON-" Ovpt. Error (433b). Interleaving adhering to gum, bright colorFINE AND RARE BOOKLET PANE WITH BOTTOM LEFT STAMP CONTAINING THE "WEALTH COMMON-" ERROR.
Only 24 were issued, which would have been six complete booklets. We know of three intact booklets, including the one offered in our Sale 1060, which reduces the number of panes available to collectors.
With 1980 P.F. certificate. Scott Catalogue value has remained unchanged for at least 15 years.

PHILIPPINES, 1943, 2c Blue, Free Philippines Guerrilla Postal Service (Unlisted). Complete sheet of 25 with sheet margin all around, with original interleaving, part tropicalized original gum, some toning, few paper flaws mostly in sheet margin incl. piece out at bottom left, Very Fine appearance, a rare complete sheet, during World War II, this stamp was issued for use on the island of Mindanao, only 500 stamps were printed and very few intact sheets exist
PHILIPPINES, 1943, 2c Blue, Free Philippines Guerrilla Postal Service (Unlisted). Tied by purple oval "Posted in the Free Philippines Mindanao Guerilla Area, M.D. No. 10, 6 AUG 1945" datestamp and used on 6c Air Post entire to military address at San Francisco, matching "Tenth Military Dist., Free Philippines, Censored" oval handstamp, with original enclosure dated June 30, 1945 from Marcelo Patso (Provincial Governor) thanking recipient for his service, some creases affect indicia and Guerrilla stamp, some toning, enclosure with uneven edge at one side but not affecting any contentsFINE APPEARANCE. A RARE USE OF THE 2-CENTAVO GUERRILLA POSTAL SERVICE ISSUE ON A COVER FROM THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNOR.
During World War II, this stamp was issued for use on the island of Mindanao. Only 500 stamps were printed. 36 covers are known, but many are unaddressed or of obvious souvenir character. This cover, actually used postally from the provincial governor, is a great rarity.
Accompanied by an American Philatelist article discussing this issue. Also accompanied by unused vertical pair of this issue, small flaws.

Four items, incl. 2c and 4c on pink paper, se-tenant pair of 16c and 20c on white paper, also 4c on Pink paper tied by Barili circular datestamp, Very Fine, scarce, also with stampless cover with red "Posted in the Free Philippines, Mindanao Guerilla Area 17 Dec. 1943" oval to Cal., accompanied by Philippine Philatelic Journal article describing these issues
