Mint face card, without printed address on front and with Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul & Co. Railway Co. printed form on back, deep dark color with clearly evident Die II characteristics, fresh and Very Fine, this substandard grade of card was used temporarily, for a period of about two months, they were not sold singly, but were supplied to printers, Scott value for a fully mint card is $20,000.00 and for preprinted (face) $550.00, USPCC catalogue advises that "clean face" cards are valued somewhere between mint and unused

Block of 25, cancelled by pen "*" and Sep. 5, 1872 datestamp on small piece of document from Pennsylvania Rail Road, most stamps in right two vertical rows also tied by herringbone cancel, bottom left stamp scuff at bottom, folded along a few perfs but remarkably free from the faults that can plague such a large multiple, Very Fine, this is the largest recorded multiple, ex Halstead and Curtis, Scott value as blocks of four and pairs approximately $2,000.00
