Our review of the Trans-Mississippi Issue in the P.S.E. Population Report revealed just how spectacular this stamp truly is. There is only one other example from the entire series (either Mint N.H. or hinged) that has been graded Gem 100J - a Mint N.H. 1c. A further review shows that there are only seven stamps in the entire series (again, Mint N.H. or hinged) that have been awarded a Gem 100 grade.

Perfectly centered with wide margins, fresh color on bright paper, neat oval cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,800.00), this is the highest grade awarded in the P.S.E. Population Report and is equaled by only two other used examples, in fact there are no 10c Trans-Mississippi stamps graded higher than 98 in any condition, a feature shared only by the 50c and $2.00 values among the entire series

50c Trans-Mississippi (291). Mint N.H. horizontal block of six, wonderfully fresh, small separation between pos. 2 and 3, centered to bottom left but perfs essentially clear all around, few fingerprints on gum, reasonably attractive and a scarce Mint N.H. multiple, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate
