2c Carmine (375). Mint N.H., intense color on bright paper, exceptional centering with Jumbo margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1991 P.F., 2010 and 2013 P.S.E. certificates, all showing plate number selvage which accompanies (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $625.00), the highest grade awarded and shared by eight others
3c Deep Violet (376). Mint N.H., deep rich color on bright paper, essentially perfect centering with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,125.00), only one stamp grades higher (at 98J)
4c Brown (377). Mint N.H., intense shade and impression, beautiful centering with wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2012 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,250.00), only seven grade higher (all at 98J) and only one other shares this grade
5c Blue (378). Mint N.H., deep color on bright paper, gorgeous centering, Extremely Fine Gem, ex "Hanover", with 1996 and 2006 P.F. certificates (Superb 98)
6c Red Orange (379). Mint N.H., bright color with just a trace of oxidation at lower right, near perfect centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2007 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $1,550.00)

Ex "Hanover". With 1998, 2004 and 2006 P.F. certificates (Superb 98). By way of comparison, P.S.E. has graded only one example at 98 and one at 100J
10c Yellow (381). Mint N.H., radiant color, choice centering, Extremely Fine Gem, ex Whitman and "Golden Oak", with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $1,250.00)
15c Pale Ultramarine (382). Mint N.H., brilliant color, perfectly centered with wide and balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLES OF THE 1911 15-CENT SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK ISSUE, SCOTT 382, IN EXISTENCE. THIS STAMP IS THE SOLE EXAMPLE GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. -- THE HIGHEST AWARDED.
According to Johl (p. 288), this stamp was only current for a little less than a year. It differs from its predecessor, Scott 340, only in the watermark, and so was often overlooked by collectors when it was current.
Ex "Hanover". With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $6,800.00). This is the highest grade awarded and it is the only example to achieve this grade.
2c Carmine, Coil (386). Mint N.H., perfect centering, vivid color on post-office fresh paperEXTREMELY FINE GEM. WITH THE P.S.E. GRADE OF SUPERB 98, THIS IS THE HIGHEST GRADED EXAMPLE OF SCOTT 386 IN ANY FORMAT OR GUM CONDITION.
Ex Depew. With 1987 P.F. (for pair), 2010 P.S.E. and 2019 P.F. certificates (both Superb 98; SMQ $4,500.00). This is the highest graded example of Scott 386 in any format or gum condition, and it has not been equaled.
1c Green, Coil (387). Mint N.H., rich color on bright paper, choice centering with wide margins, Extremely Fine, with copy of 2005 P.F. certificate for pair
2c Carmine, Coil (388). Pair with 3mm spacing, fabulous wide margins, fresh and brightEXTREMELY FINE. A MARVELOUS PAIR OF THE 1910 2-CENT CARMINE HORIZONTAL COIL WITH SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK.
The 2c single-line watermark horizontal coil, Scott 388 was in production for only a short period of time before being superseded by the Perf 8-1/2 issue, Scott 393. In addition, due to the greater popularity of the horizontal coils with users, combined with a wary attitude by many collectors that early coils were simply trimmed stamps, many were used and few preserved.
