Clear impression on 9-1/2 x 15in. handwritten document in French (probably used in Quebec), clear strike of "One Penny Sheet" crowned circle handstamp, small part of writing just into embossed area, document folded with some splitting along fold which is far away from the embossingVERY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 3-PENCE USED ON A DOCUMENT. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.

Sharp clear impression at top left of 8 x 13in. handwritten Summons from 1766 executed in Quebec and written in French, "Nine Pence Quire" crowned circle handstamp, some splitting along folds reinforced with scotch tape, large archival handstamp shows thru, still Very Fine embossing, many examples have handwriting over the embossing, the example offered here is perfectly clear

A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 2-SHILLING 6-PENCE GENERAL ISSUE USED IN QUEBEC.

With 2022 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $3,600.00). Comparing this to the Superb 98 and 98 Jumbos we have offered, we are very surprised this did not receive that grade -- it is every bit their equal. In any case it is an extraordinary example of the first Federal Hunting Permit.
