1c-$5.00 Columbian, Plate Proofs on India, Card (230P3-245P3, 230P4-245P4). Complete sets on both India and card, four margins throughout except for 8c on India irregular on one side, brilliant colors, the card proofs are essentially sound except $1.00 with small stain, a few of the India proofs have the typical thins/translucencies often found, 6c on India small stain, overall Very Fine appearing sets
1c-$5.00 Columbian, Plate Proofs on Card (230P4-245P4). Large margins, bright colors throughout, Very Fine set
1c-50c Columbian (230-240). Blocks of four including extra 2c with Broken Hat variety and 50c with part imprint and plate no. 77 bottom selvage, original gum, many blocks Mint N.H. including 1c (two stamps), 2c, 2c Broken Hat, 3c, 4c, 8c, 10c, 15c (two stamps) and 30c (two stamps), gorgeous colors and mostly well-centered, bright and freshVERY FINE AND CHOICE. A PARTICULARLY FRESH SET OF COLUMBIAN ISSUE BLOCKS OF FOUR THROUGH THE 50-CENT, WITH THE MAJORITY OF STAMPS MINT NEVER-HINGED.
This set was selected from a larger group of blocks for better centering and to maximize Mint N.H. stamps. Scott value without premium for the 50c position.
1c-50c Columbian (230-240). Set of side imprint blocks of four, complete thru the 50c, many stamps Mint N.H. including the complete 5c, 6c, 8c and 50c blocks, couple others have two Mint N.H. stamps, also some h.r., a few perf separations but overall nicely intactFINE AND SCARCE SET OF IMPRINT BLOCKS OF FOUR FOR THE ONE-CENT THRU 50-CENT COLUMBIANS, INCLUDING MORE THAN HALF THE STAMPS IN MINT NEVER-HINGED CONDITION.
Scott value as a mix of singles and hinged blocks without premium for the imprints is more than $10,000.00
1c-50c Columbian (230-240). Blocks of four, original gum, a number of stamps Mint N.H. including the 15c block, 50c is regummed (or possibly very disturbed original gum), bright and fresh colors, attractive centering, some minor perf separations on a few and more significant separations on 30c (hinge reinforced), Fine-Very Fine, Scott value counting the 50c as four no-gum singles
2c Brown Violet, Columbian (231). Mint N.H., intense shade and impression, fresh and Extremely Fine Gem, with 2010 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $350.00)
