2c Carmine, Ty. I, Coil (442). Mint N.H., brilliant color, perfectly centered with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1996 P.F. and 2010 P.S.E. certificates (Gem 100; SMQ $500.00), only one has graded higher and four others share this grade, this is the first we have offered since 2007

With 2011 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; SMQ $2,000.00). This is the highest grade awarded and it is the only Mint N.H. stamp in any format to achieve this grade. SMQ value is far too low, considering it last sold for $4,500.00 hammer in 2011

5c Blue, Coil (447). Guide line pair, wonderfully well-centered, deep rich color, bold double-oval cancel, Extremely Fine, ex Curtis, with 2004 P.F. and 2015 P.S.E. certificates
2c Carmine, Ty. III, Coil (450). Mint N.H. joint line pair, exceptionally well-centered, fresh and bright, Very Fine, this centering is equivalent to Extremely Fine for many other rotary press coils, with 2010 P.S.E. certificate
2c Carmine Rose, Ty. I, Coil (453). Mint N.H. joint line pair, beautifully centered, rich color on white paperEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED JOINT LINE PAIR OF SCOTT 453.
The Type I rotary press stamps were produced using the same master dies as had been used for flat plate printings. However, due to the curve of the plate to fit the rotary press, the impressions lacked some of the details of the flat plate printings. New dies were made with strengthened lines, resulting in the Type II stamps. The web-fed rotary printing and perforating process made it very difficult for well-centered examples to be consistently produced.
