3c Rose, A. Grill, Imperforate (79a). Horizontal pair, unused (no gum), large margins to clear, bright color, left stamp faint crease, Very Fine appearance, rare, with 1985 P.F. certificate, Scott Retail as with gum
3c Rose, C. Grill (83). Clearly-defined grill, rich color, neat face-free town datestamp, reperfed, appears Very Fine and choice
3c Rose, C. Grill (83). Well-centered, pastel shade, bold quartered cork cancel, Very Fine, with 1991 P.F. certificate
2c Black, D. Grill (84). Intense shade and impression, clearly-defined grill, neat strike of circle of V's cancelVERY FINE AND CHOICE. A BEAUTIFUL USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1867 2-CENT D GRILL. A DIFFICULT STAMP TO FIND IN SUCH CHOICE CONDITION.
With 2010 P.S.E. certificate (VF 80; SMQ $8,500.00). As an indication of rarity, the highest grade awarded to date is only a 90. The Scott Catalogue states that the value for No. 84 is for a stamp in Fine grade.
2c Black, D. Grill (84). Clear impression with essentially face-free cork cancel off to the leftFINE. A DESIRABLE SOUND USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 2-CENT BLACK D GRILL.
The Scott Catalogue states that the value for No. 84 is for a stamp in Fine grade. With 1976 and 1996 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Fine 70; SMQ $4,250.00).
2c Black, D. Grill (84). Choice margins and well-centered for this notoriously difficult issue, quartered cork cancel, Fine, with 1993 P.S.E. certificate, which mentions the slight double transfer at top (Scott lists double transfer but without a value)
3c Rose, D. Grill (85). Incredibly well-centered for this scarce grill, bright color, bold large unframed grid cancelEXTREMELY FINE. A TRULY OUTSTANDING USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 3-CENT D GRILL.
