$1.00 Black (311). Block of four with part imprint and plate no. 1629 selvage at bottom, original gum, barely hinged, intense shade and impression, gorgeous centering throughout with wide and balanced margins, few perf separations at top and bottom
EXTREMELY FINE. A PHENOMENAL ORIGINAL-GUM BLOCK OF FOUR WITH PART IMPRINT AND PLATE NUMBER FOR THE $1.00 1902 ISSUE.
With 1986 and 1994 P.F. certificates, the latter stating Mint N.H. With 2024 P.S.E. certificate.
$2.00 Dark Blue (312). Mint N.H., gorgeous color, attractive centering and margins, Very Fine, scarce in this fresh Mint N.H. condition, with 2025 P.S.E. certificate

1c Blue Green, Imperforate Coil (314H). Strip of seven, original gum, pos. 1 lightly hinged, pos. 7 h.r., the middle five stamps Mint N.H. pos. 6 with a light vertical crease and tiny nick at bottom, light pencil notation on gum of pos. 7-9
A CHOICE AND RARE STRIP OF SEVEN OF THE ONE-CENT 1908 IMPERFORATE FLAT PLATE COIL, WITH A SOUND AND EXTREMELY FINE MINT NEVER-HINGED STRIP OF FOUR in the middle.
These coils were made from the flat plate regular issue stamps, and were issued in rolls of either 500 or 1,000. This is a choice and rare large strip.
With 1988 P.F. certificate as the old No. 314S (before the imperforate coils were re-numbered). Scott value calculated as a Mint N.H. strip of four, hinged pair, and half a hinged pair.

EXTREMELY FINE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-CENT HORIZONTAL COIL, SCOTT 318.
Small pencil signature on bottom of gum. With 1969 P.F. certificate for a pair, this the left stamp. With 2024 P.S.E. certificates both for the previous pair and for this single (OGph, VF-XF 85). Only one single grades higher (at 90) and no others share this grade. SCV $4,500.
2c Scarlet, International Vending Machine Co., Perforated Approximately 12½ (320b). Pair, bright color, bold strikes of New York registry oval cancels, small thin spots, Fine appearance, an extremely rare used pair of the 2c International Vending Machine Co. privately perforated coil, the copy of the 1940 American Board of Experts certificate which accompanies, signed by both Bartels and Klemann, misidentifies this as Scott 322—it is for a strip of five on piece, the only source of used examples of this rare private vending machine coil—SCV $2,600 as singles

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A GORGEOUS ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE SCARCE 1910 SINGLE-LINE WATERMARK 2-CENT HORIZONTAL COIL, SCOTT 388, GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. — THE HIGHEST GRADE AWARDED TO A HINGED EXAMPLE IN ANY FORMAT.
With copies 1972 P.F. and 2024 P.S.E. certificates for a pair. With 2025 P.S.E. certificate as this single (OGph, Superb 98). This is the highest grade awarded to a hinged Scott 388 in any format (line pair, pair or single). One Mint N.H. single grades higher (at 98J). Scott value $1,700.
2c Carmine, Coil (388). Original gum, lightly hinged, brilliant color, Very Fine, with 2008 PF. certificate for pair
4c Brown, Coil (395). Original gum, lightly hinged, perfectly centered with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1992 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, Gem 100), this is the highest grade awarded to a single, only this stamp and one in Mint N.H. condition have achieved it
5c Panama-Pacific (399). Mint N.H., deep color and proof-like impression, perfectly centered with Jumbo margins
EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT PERF 12 PANAMA-PACIFIC ISSUE, WHICH IS GRADED SUPERB 98 JUMBO BY P.S.E. A REMARKABLE STAMP IN EVERY RESPECT.
With 1994 and 2004 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo). Only one example has graded higher (at 100J) and only three others share this grade. The 100J realized $15,000 hammer in one of our 2021 auctions. This is undervalued in SMQ at $1,750.
7c Black (407). Mint N.H., detailed impression, superior centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1997 P.F. and 2007 and 2021 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95), only eight grade higher (highest is 98)
1c Green, Kansas City Roulette (408 var). Mint N.H. block of eight, imperforate between the three inside vertical rows, showing absolutely no trace of the roulette wheel, Very Fine and choice, very rare imperforate in one direction, two bottom stamps deeply impressed "ERW" pencil (Elmer R. Walters, who purchased the stamps at the Kansas City Post Office window), in December 1914, the Kansas City post office had an oversupply of imperforate stamps originally intended for vending machines, the supply of stamps was rouletted with women's dressmaking tracing wheels and official approval for their release was given by Washington, includes notarized affidavit signed by Walters
