Natural straight edge at right, used with 2c Columbian (231), 2c Trans-Mississippi (285) and 1c Pan-American (294), stamps tied by indistinct ovals with clear strike of "St. Louis Mo. Apr. 30 9 AM 4 (1904)" First Day of Issue duplex datestamp on 3c Centennial entire (U219) with typed address to Mr. Farran Zerbe, Chief, Souvenir Coin Dept., St. Louis Mo., magenta "Worlds Fair Station" handstamp at top, cover with minor soiling and couple small edge tears at bottom, Columbian stamp with small tear at bottom and perf toning, 3c slightly faded — none of these trivial issues are mentioned on accompanying certificates

very fine. a colorful and rare first day cover for the 3-cent louisiana purchase issue, with stamps from each of the previous three commemorative issues.

Ex Getlan. With 1973 A.F.D.C. and 2019 P.F. certificates. Accompanied by a newspaper clipping stating that Mr. Zerbe created two similar covers, one addressed to the President of the Exposition, Governor David R. Francis, and the other to the Exposition Secretary, Walter B. Stevens. Scott value $20,000.
