2c Brown (113). Block of 25, original gum, many stamps Mint N.H. including the middle block of nine, hinging generally on the outer stamps, bright color, few minor toned spots, top center stamp tiny thin spotFINE APPEARANCE. AN ATTRACTIVE LARGE MULTIPLE OF THE 2-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE.
Any multiple of eight or more of the 2c 1869 Pictorial is scarce to rare. This block of 25 is the largest we have offered in recent years (a block of 70 was offered in our 2011 Rarities sale and was subsequently broken up).

6c Ultramarine (115). Original gum, barely hinged, deep rich color on bright paper, exceptional centering with wide and balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A STUNNING LIGHTLY-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 6-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE, GRADED XF-SUPERB 95 BY BOTH P.S.E AND THE PHILATELIC FOUNDATION.
This stamp was recently uncovered in an old-time collection of classics in beautiful post-office fresh condition. This is its first appearance at auction.
With 2018 P.F. (XF-Superb 95) and 2018 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $13,750.00). This is one of only five examples to achieve this grade from P.S.E. -- the highest awarded

Block of four, presentable centering for this extremely rare block, smudgy cork cancel, bottom left stamp small sealed tear at bottom, hinge reinforcements along edges, Fine appearance and extremely rare, probably fewer than five used blocks of the 6c 1869 Pictorial are recorded and all have faults (the Rose book states only two or three known), Power Search lists only one other sold in our auctions (with faults), Scott Value $9,000.00
