A SUPERB MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1890 ISSUE. THIS MAGNIFICENT STAMP HAS BEEN AWARDED THE GRADE OF SUPERB 98 JUMBO BY P.S.E. -- ONLY ONE HAS GRADED HIGHER, AND THIS IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE TO ACHIEVE THIS LOFTY GRADE.
With 1997 P.F. and 2007 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo; unpriced in any grade higher than 98, SMQ $9,600.00 as 98). The current P.S.E. Population Report lists one Superb 98J and one 100J in OGnh condition (no other 98's or 100's).
