1922-34 Regular Issues, First Day Covers. Contains the Perf 11, Perf 10, Perf 11 x 10-1/2, coils and imperforate Regular Issue stamps, much of the value in the Perf 11 series, which has all values to 50c, duplication of denominations include better cities such as 14c from Muskogee Okla., some with blocks, a few unaddressed, some better combination covers, including Nos. 588-590 (listed but unpriced in Scott), coils include No. 597, one with Canal Zone overprint, vast majority Fine-Very Fine, Scott value in excess of $14,000.00

1920s-1940s Commemorative First Day Covers. Several hundred, earliest is 2c Harding, which includes three with George Linn first cachet, Huguenot-Walloon has complete sets from a variety of cities, Lexington-Concord set also has a variety of cities (including unofficial) and 1c and 2c with first Jackson cachet, later issues similarly collected, with different city and cachet combinations, for example the 5c Erickson contains the four different cities each with Griffin cachet, strong in 2c Reds, with better first cachets, such as No. 643 with first Kirkjian from unofficial city of Albany, N.Y., the 1928 Hawaii set on eleven different cacheted covers, the 2c Ohio River contains six different Beazell photographic cachets, and it carries on like that, with several from the 1930s and 1940s in plate blocks, Farley souvenir sheets including Nos. 766 and 767 on one oversized cover, this was formed by a true collector over six decades, vast majority Very Fine, an outstanding lot for someone wanting to start a collection of this visually pleasing area of first day cover collecting, it would be equally desirable for a dealer who can sell the specialized material of this era

First Day Covers to Foreign Destinations. 1920s-1960s, over 100, earliest is 5c Lexington-Concord with first Jackson cachet to France, many from the 1930s and 1940s to Asian, African, or small Pacific Island countries, several forwarded, some with mixed country frankings, nearly all with receiving backstamps from the country of destination, most Fine-Very Fine, first day covers sent outside the United States are scarce, even when sent to the more populous European countries, it would take years (if not decades) to assemble this variety of first day covers to so many different countries

First Day Cover Collection. Probably a couple thousand, 1940s to about 2014, neatly housed in cover albums, all are cacheted and unaddressed, the collector's choice of cachet-maker was Artmaster, except the last ten years or so he switched to Colorano Silk, very comprehensive, just about complete for the period, not only singles, but many plate blocks and booklet panes, and some of the se-tenant blocks are present both in block and singles, plate blocks includes many of the better items of the period, including issues from the late 1940s, Liberty and Prominent Americans regular issues (including the $5.00 Hamilton and $5.00 Moore), high value Express Mail stamps, etc., includes complete booklets of some of the more modern issues, in addition there are some varieties, such as Prominent American high values on Luminescent paper in plate blocks, 1969 6c Christmas pre-cancel from the four different cities, and Americana series (including dollar values) signed by the designer, very fresh and clean throughout and much better than your typical first day cover collection from the period, our estimate is a minute fraction of the total retail value
