$2.00 Presidential (833). Mint N.H. pane of 100, signed by Franklin Roosevelt and Harold Ickes in top selvage, selvage with some creases at right well well away from signatures, otherwise Very Fine, accompanied by copy of 1950 letter from Ickes stating that he is confident he owned the only pair of sheets of the $2.00 and $5.00 Presidential Issue signed by both he and Roosevelt, obtained by Ickes for his own collection (sold by Fifield in 1948)
$1.00-$2.00 Presidential (832-833). Two items, first single $1.00 with vignette strongly shifted to top, $2.00 top plate nos. 22121 and 22122 block of eight, vignettes strongly shifted to top left, top stamps with narrow gum skips, bottom two stamps at right with some glazed gum, Very Fine, a dramatic and rarely seen color shift, this is only the second $2.00 we have offered with such a shift, particularly desirable as a top plate block

This issue was printed by the American Bank Note Company and perforated in three different formats: Perf 11 x 12 (Scott 1789), Perf 11 All Around (Scott 1789A) and Perf 12 All Around (Scott 1789B). It is believed that the USPS was unaware that there were different perforations. The Perf 12 All Around is by far the rarest and used copies are particularly elusive.
