A Power Search review found many blocks of four of this issue, but nearly every one we have offered has a fault, hinging or both. This sound block is a notable exception.

Confederate States General Issues Balance (1/14). Extensive balance on stock cards, all general issue Scott numbers represented except for Nos. 3 and 10, including No. 1 pair tied on piece plus two unused and two used, five of No. 2 with four of those being No. 2b, including two unused with large margins but with faults, five of No. 4 including four unused, one used No. 5 in the "Burgundy" shade (appeared in Sale 795, lot 810), Nos. 6-7 including four blocks of four, one of 12 and one of 25, three examples of the "White Tie" variety included, also a used pair with Estell Springs railroad cancel, No. 8 including unused block of four, pair and three singles, No. 9 unused with oxidation, Nos. 11-12 with numerous blocks and larger multiples and showing a wonderful range of shades, including one identified as "Green", No. 13 two blocks of four and several singles, No. 14 three singles including one with sheet margin, typical flaws to be found especially on the stamps with the largest margins, overall Fine-Very Fine or appear so, Scott value exceeds $11,000.00
