29c Cranes, Black & Magenta Engraved Omitted (2868b). Mint N.H. vertical pair with bottom selvage, top stamp fingerprint on gum, Very Fine and scarce, accompanied by normal pair
29c Cranes, Double Impression of Black & Magenta Engraved (2868c). Mint N.H. top right plate no. block of four, engraved Black "USA" and crane names doubled on all four stamps, engraved Magenta "29" also doubled on all four, light fingerprints on gumVERY FINE. ONE OF ONLY TWO PLATE BLOCKS OF THIS ISSUE WITH ALL FOUR STAMPS SHOWING A DOUBLE IMPRESSION OF THE ENGRAVED BLACK AND MAGENTA.
One pane of 20 of the Cranes Issue was discovered with double impressions. The top two rows of five show doubling of both the Black ("USA" and crane names) and Magenta engraved colors, including two plate blocks from the top corners of the pane. The next row of five shows doubling of the Black "USA" only and Magenta "29". The bottom five stamps on the pane are normal (see following lot for the bottom two plate blocks). This is a striking and very rare modern error. As this collection demonstrates, imperforate and color-omitted errors are found on many modern issues. Double impressions, however, are extremely rare on modern issues.

Two Mint N.H. plate no. blocks of four from the bottom left and right corners of the discovery pane, engraved Black "USA" doubled on the top two stamps in each block, engraved Magenta "29" also doubled on top two, light fingerprints on gumVERY FINE. 29c Greetings, Vertical Pair, Imperforate Between (2872e). Mint N.H. blocks of 45 from the top and bottom halves of the pane of 100, each block contains 18 vertical pairs, imperforate between, plus nine stamps at top or bottom normal, including four plate no. blocks of four of the error, Very Fine, Datz states at least 40 error pairs are known, if his estimate is close to accurate then these blocks represent the vast majority of known examples, listed but unpriced in Scott

32c Nixon, Red Engraved Omitted (2955a). Mint N.H. plate no. block of four, Very Fine, Datz states 70 reported, Scott Retail as singles without premium for the plate block
32c Recreational Sports, Imperforate and Color-Omitted Errors (2965b, 2965c, 2965d). Mint N.H. vertical strips of five of each of the three Scott-listed errors, including imperforate, Yellow omitted and Yellow, Blue and Magenta omitted, Very Fine and rare trio, Datz records 8-12 strips of the imperforate error and approximately 12 each of the color errors, the imperforate error ex Floyd and with 1998 P.F. certificate

32c American Music, Imperforate Pair (2992c). Mint N.H. plate no. block of four, bottom pair with John Coltrane and Erroll Garner (2991-2992) imperforate, top pair normal, Very Fine and extremely rare, Datz records only 2 pairs of the fully imperforate error

Booklet containing three complete error panes and one error pair at top, Mint N.H., folded in middle as issued, Very Fine, Datz states "very rare" without estimating a quantity, Scott Retail as three panes without premium for the extra pair or the booklet covers
