15c Black, Re-Issue (108). Detailed impression, neat strikes of circular datestamp and also duplex cancelVERY FINE. A RARE SOUND USED EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1866 RE-ISSUE. ONLY FOURTEEN ARE RECORDED IN OUR UNPUBLISHED CENSUS.
Only 397 were sold. Of these, very few were used. Our recently updated census records 14 used examples (one uncertified) and of these approximately half are sound. The last used example we offered in one of our auctions was in 2003.
