PUERTO RICO, Ponce Provisional, 1898, 5c Violet on Yellowish (200). Original gum, h.r., violet control mark as with all "genuine" unused examples, large margins to clear, the Ponce Provisional has historically been one of the great rarities of U.S. Possessions, but in recent years the entire issue has been discredited by a few specialists, which forces us to offer this "as is", with 1987 P.F. certificate

Santiago" control mark applied several times across each row, top left stamp small thin, top right stamp small diagonal crease, slight overall toning not noted on certificateVERY FINE. AN INCREDIBLY RARE INTACT SHEET OF TEN OF THE 1898 COAMO PROVISIONAL ISSUE, SCOTT 201.
Very few sheets remain intact. This is the best way to see the major types and how they were printed. With 2022 P.F. certificate.
