This issue is listed and collected as a top or bottom plate block of four or six. Top plate blocks of six in Mint N.H. condition are very rare -- we have offered only two others since 2005. This plate block of eight is the largest Mint N.H. plate number multiple listed in Power Search.
10c Trans-Mississippi (290). Jumbo margins and choice centering, rich color, wavy-line machine cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; SMQ $575.00), this is the only used Scott 290 at the 95J grade with only three higher (all at 98)

The $1.00 Trans-Mississippi is considered by many to be the most beautiful of all United States postage stamps. Although Mint Never-Hinged examples have been supplied from blocks and sheets broken over the years, the centering of this example is unusually choice.
