A RARE AND BEAUTIFULLY CENTERED EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE. THERE ARE ONLY 20 USED EXAMPLES RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS.
Our unpublished census of Scott 104 in used condition records only 20 used copies. Of these, less than half are sound. By virtue of centering, this is one of the finest in our records.

30c Brownish Orange, Re-Issue (110). Original gum, magnificent centering with perforations clear of the design all around, deep rich colorEXTREMELY FINE. THE 30-CENT IS ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT VALUES OF THE 1861 RE-ISSUES TO FIND CENTERED AND WITH MARGINS CLEAR OF THE DESIGN.
Only 346 issued. With 2008 P.F. certificate (VF-XF 85)
30c Brownish Orange, Re-Issue (110). Rich color, centered a bit to left, non-contemporary wavy-line machine cancel, Fine, with copy of 1997 P.S.E. certificate, Scott Retail as used with contemporary cancel is $22,500.00
