Mint N.H., with wide right plate no. 62 selvage, certificate notes small disturbed spot on gum, rich color on bright paper, gorgeous centering, single pulled perf in selvage at bottom of no consequence, Extremely Fine, scarce with such choice centering, with 1997 P.F. certificate
$1.00 Black (261). Original gum, lightly hinged, exceptionally well-centered with balanced margins, beautiful impression and deep shade on bright white paperEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE ONE-DOLLAR TYPE I 1894 FIRST BUREAU ISSUE.
With 1999 P.F. and 2019 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, XF-Superb 95; SMQ $3,350.00). Only nine hinged stamps grade higher

This unwatermarked issue is far more difficult to obtain in such choice condition than its watermarked counterpart, Scott 278.
