EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A MAGNIFICENT MINT NEVER-HINGED EXAMPLE OF THE 1915 11-CENT PERF 10 SINGLE-LINE WATERMARKED ISSUE -- GRADED SUPERB 98 JUMBO BY P.S.E.
Ex Whitman. With 2002 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo). Only one grades higher (at 100) and three share this lofty grade. We have not offered a 98J since we sold this example in the 2009 Whitman sale.

extremely fine gem. a superb mint never-hinged joint line pair of the one-cent 1915 rotary press vertical coil, graded xf-superb 95 -- the highest grade awarded.
With 2006 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95). Collectors lulled into the belief that this fairly common rotary press coil can be found in abundance in the higher grades should take note -- this 95 is the highest grade awarded to a Mint N.H. joint line pair and it is shared by only one other.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. An exceptional used EXAMPLE OF THE $1.00 FRANKLIN, SCOTT 478, with the perfect p.s.e. grade of gem 100.
With 2017 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100). Only one grades higher at 100 Jumbo and no others share this grade. We have never offered that stamp but we feel that the huge margins on this example could also warrant the Jumbo appellation.
$5.00 Light Green (480). Mint N.H., wide margins and outstanding centering, rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2006 P.S.E. certificate (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo)
1c-3c 1916-17 Imperforates (481-484). Mint N.H. pairs, each with massive margins encompassing portions of all adjoining stamps, Extremely Fine Gems, with 2015-16 P.S.E. certificates (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in this grade, total SMQ $700 for Gem 100)
2c Carmine, Ty. I, Imperforate (482). Accumulation of more than 90 plate no. blocks of six from all positions, approximately 74 with Boston Mass. precancel and approximately 19 with double oval cancels or duplex cancels, including Boston and Hartford Conn., condition is good with a few showing some small top edge issues from handling, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, these are unpriced in Scott used but nearly all the other prices under No. 482 are close to the same for unused and used, Scott value for hinged plate blocks exceeds $2,500
1c-10c 1916-22 Rotary Press Coils (486-490, 493, 495-497). Nine Mint N.H. pairs, complete for the set less the rare No. 491 and Nos. 492 and 494, each with superb centering and margins, bright and fresh colors, Extremely Fine Gems, ex Depew, each with P.S.E. certificate graded Superb 98, Nos. 488 and 490 are the highest graded pairs in the P.S.E. Population Report, total SMQ value
