Four beautiful hand illustrated First Day covers, including single of 5c United Nations (928) with ilustration of dove and olive branch, single of 3c Supreme Court Building (991) with blindfolded Liberty and other patriotic themes, third is a block of four of the same issue with similar design, last is 5c Bill of Rights (1312) with central theme of blindfolded Liberty holding a sword in one hand and scales in the other, Very Fine, a remarkable and colorful group of Dorothy Knapp hand-illustrated First Day covers
5c Overrun Countries (909-921). Tied by "Washington D.C. Dec. 7 9:00 A.M. 1943" First Day cancels on oversize Dorothy Knapp hand drawn cover with "Salute to the Overrun Nations, Freedom Will Prevail" slogan with waving flags, unaddressed, few stamps with slight toning from gum, Very Fine, this is the largest Knapp hand painted cover we have ever encountered, a wonderful patriotic theme
This is Benito's Fascism Hand-Drawn Patriotic. Cover with 8c Olive Green, Air Post (C26) tied by "Washington D.C. Mar. 26 9AM 1944" machine cancel on multicolored hand drawn World War II Patriotic depicting thug with swastika stabbing person holding Yugoslavia flag with "This is Benito's Fascism" at bottom, signed "Monty" at lower right, to Berwick Penn., fresh and Very Fine, a phenomenal design
World War II Related Postal History. Approximately 63 covers, most are patriotics with great themes including pin-up girls, few hand painted designs such as Bataan recaptured and first atom bomb test at Bikini, best item though is cover from New York to Camp de Noe, France with unlisted French framed "Centre de Seiour Surveille de Noe (H.G.) Contole No. 1" censor's handstamp and returned to sender, back with German censor tape and handstamps overall fresh and Very Fine, an attractive group
