2c Pink, Ty. I (248). Mint N.H. bottom left pane of 100 with imprint and plate no. 20 blocks of six at left and bottom, "patchy" original gum as usually seen on this Scott number, vibrant color, four stamps at bottom with stains barely affecting one stamp in bottom plate block of sixFINE-VERY FINE AND SCARCE MINT NEVER-HINGED COMPLETE PANE OF 100 OF THE 1894 2-CENT PINK TYPE I BUREAU ISSUE.
Scott value $10,080.00 as two Mint N.H. plate blocks and 88 Mint N.H. singles
50c Orange (260). Bottom imprint and plate no. 75 block of six, original gum, all but the top left stamp lightly hinged, brilliant color, some perf separations including reinforced in selvage, two connecting perfs between right pair slightly blunted where separatedFINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE PLATE BLOCK OF THE 1894 50-CENT UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE.
Lewis Kaufman records fewer than ten plate blocks of this issue. We have offered only two other examples since at least 1993, one of which was stained. No examples were contained in the Gross Multiples or Treasures sales.
8c Violet Brown, USIR Watermark (272a). Showing clear "I" of watermark, original gum, rich color and choice centeringVERY FINE. A SCARCE CENTERED ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1895 8-CENT BUREAU ISSUE WITH "USIR" WATERMARK.
The "USIR" (United States Internal Revenue) watermark error occurred when a supply of paper reserved for revenue stamp production was used for printing the 6c and 8c postage stamps. There are approximately 75 known of the 8c with a bit more than ten unused, but many are either off-center or have flaws.

2c Carmine, Ty. II-III (266-267). Top left imprint and plate no. 170 block of 20, comprising the top two rows of the pane, left block of six Ty. II (266), right block of 14 including plate block Ty. III (267), original gum, stamps are Mint N.H., h.r. in two places in ungummed selvage reinforcing perf separations, two vertical natural gum creases, diagonal crease in selvage, pencil notation in corner selvage, Fine-Very Fine appearance, a scarce multiple combining Types II and III, only Plate 170 yields a combination of the two types, Scott value $1,966.00 as two combination pairs, plate block of Ty. III and singles
