2c Parcel Post, Designer's Model on Thick Gray Cardboard (Q2-E2). Stamp-size photographic essay of wash drawing, depicting the "Steamship and Mail Tender" design that was adopted for the 10c value, with additional pen and ink lettering and wash touch up, mounted on 101 x 83mm card with hand inscription and signed "Approved Oct. 11, 1912 Frank H. Hitchcock Postmaster General", also light pencil at top indicating the design was changed to the 10cVERY FINE AND UNIQUE ESSAY PREPARED FOR THE 2-CENT PARCEL POST ISSUE, DEPICTING THE DESIGN OF THE 10-CENT.
This is a particularly desirable essay with the swapped design. There is also a 5c essay that depicts the City Carrier design that would eventually be adopted for this 2c denomination
