2c Carmine, Imperforate (409). Pair, huge margins all around including sheet margin at top, bold Mohegan Lake N.Y. circular datestamp, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; SMQ $350.00), only three have graded higher
2c Carmine, Coil (411). Guide line pair, impressive centering with wide margins, brilliant color, neat duplex cancels, Extremely Fine, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $400.00), this is the highest grade on record and the only example to achieved it
1c Green, Coil (412). Guide line pair, deep rich color, well-centered, unobtrusive cancels, Very Fine and choice, with 2011 A.P.S. and P.S.E. certificates (VF-XF 85; SMQ $325.00), only six grade higher

Mathematically precise centering with Jumbo margins, gorgeous rich color on bright paper, long and full perforations, lightly cancelled, Extremely Fine Gem, the essence of perfection which caused a P.S.E. grader to describe this stamp as "Yum Yum" on an accompanying note, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $925.00 at 100), only one other example shares this exalted grade
30c Orange Red (439). Huge margins and near perfect centering, stunning color on bright white paper, face-free Mass. circular datestamp at top, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $700.00), only one example grades higher (offered in Sale 1107, Lot 470) and one other shares this grade (ex Kirke)

2c Red, Ty. I, Coil (449). Perfectly centered, brilliant color, socked-on-the-nose "Minneapolis Minn. Dec. 16 10:30 PM 1915" circular datestampEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE FINEST USED SINGLE OF THE 2-CENT VERTICAL COIL, SCOTT 449, WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED. THIS STAMP HAS BEEN GRADED SUPERB 98 BY P.S.E. -- THE HIGHEST GRADE RECORDED.
A review using Power Search reveals no other cancellations which compare to the Minneapolis circular datestamp offered here. Nearly all have wavy-line or registry cancels. The fact that this is stamp also features remarkable centering and overall freshness makes it the finest example we have seen or offered in our auctions.
With 2013 P.F. (Superb 98) and P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98; SMQ $4,500.00). This is the highest grade recorded and it is shared by only three others. We have offered two of the other 98's and both have machine cancels

Jun. 3, 1931 machine cancel, Extremely Fine, a handsome used example, with 2014 P.F. certificate (XF 90), by way of comparison, the P.S.E. Population Report records XF 90 as the highest grade with only two examples
