2c Red Brown, H. Grill (135). Jumbo margins and choice centering, clear grill, rich color, cork cancel, Extremely Fine, with 2009 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90 Jumbo; SMQ $285.00)
6c Pale Carmine, H. Grill (137). Bright color, clear grill points, fresh and Fine, with 2003 P.F. certificate
10c Brown, H. Grill (139). Unused (no gum), visible grill points in Jefferson's head, rich color, attractive margins and centering, fresh and Very Fine, this is an extremely difficult issue to find unused in centered and sound condition, with 2014 P.S.E. certificate (VF 80; SMQ $2,500.00) -- in our opinion this deserves at least 85 points -- only five unused stamps have been graded by P.S.E., this is one of two no-gum stamps graded 80 with none higher (one with original gum grades 85J)
12c Dull Violet, H. Grill (140). Well-centered with wide margins, clearly defined grill points, neat circle of wedges cancelVERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT STAMP TO FIND IN SOUND, CENTERED CONDITION.

15c Orange, H. Grill (141). Faintly cancelled (appears unused at a glance), vivid color, clear grill points, fresh, Very Fine, with 2000 P.F. certificate
15c Orange, H. Grill (141). Bright color, wide margins, bold segmented cork cancel, Very Fine and choice, with 2015 P.S.E. certificate
24c Purple, H. Grill (142). Clearly identifiable grill points, choice centering, bright shade beautifully contrasted by perfect strike of jet-black crossroads cancel, completely soundEXTREMELY FINE. AN OUTSTANDING EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 24-CENT NATIONAL BANK NOTE COMPANY GRILLED ISSUE, COMBINING BEAUTIFUL COLOR, CENTERING AND CANCELLATION.
The 24c National Bank Note Company Grilled Issue is not known unused. Brookman estimates that only 2,000 were issued. Many of the genuine grilled stamps have faint or faded color.
With 2008 P.S.E. certificate (VF-XF 85; SMQ $9,500.00). Only three examples have been graded higher by P.S.E. (all at 90) and two share this grade
2c Red Brown, I. Grill (135A). Original gum, lightly hinged, outstanding centering, magnificent color and proof-like impressionEXTREMELY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1870 2-CENT I GRILL. A SCARCE STAMP WITH ORIGINAL GUM IN ANY CONDITION AND A GREAT RARITY IN THIS PRISTINE CONDITION.
With 2016 P.F. certificate (XF 90). This is the highest grade awarded by the Philatelic Foundation to a 2c I Grill and it is shared by no others. By way of comparison, P.S.E. has also graded only one original gum stamp XF 90
3c Green, I. Grill (136A). Clearly-defined grill, rich color, unobtrusive cancel, precise centering, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2016 P.F. certificate (XF-Superb 95)
7c Vermilion, I. Grill (138A). Clear grill, rich color and choice centering, bold quartered cork cancel, Extremely Fine, a beautiful example of the 7c I Grill, with 2016 P.F. certificate (VF-XF 85)
7c Vermilion (149). Brilliant color, wide and balanced margins, unobtrusive cancel, Extremely Fine, with 2011 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $200.00)
10c Brown (150). Block of four, original gum, single h.r. in middle, centered to bottom, about Fine, scarce original-gum block, Scott Retail $10,500.00
24c Purple (153). Choice balanced margins, bright color, red New York Foreign Mail cancel beautifully struck, Extremely Fine, with 2015 P.F. certificate (XF 90)
