EXTREMELY FINE. A VERY CHOICE AND RARE STRIP OF FOUR OF THE ONE-CENT 1908 IMPERFORATE FLAT PLATE COIL, WITH TWO MINT NEVER-HINGED STAMPS.
These coils were made from the flat plate regular issue stamps, and were issued in rolls of either 500 or 1,000. This is an exceptionally choice strip.
With 2024 P.F. certificate (XF 90). The listed Scott values do not quite describe this strip. A hinged pair catalogues $2,100 and a Mint N.H. pair catalogues $3,750 (singles are unpriced). Scott value for two hinged pairs is $4,200, which does not capture the value of the Mint N.H. end stamps in this strip.
5c Blue, Imperforate (315). Original gum, lightly hinged, huge margins, rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1994 P.F. and 2024 P.S.E. certificates (OGph, XF-Superb 95)
1c Blue Green, Coil (318). Original gum, lightly hinged, rich color, centered to top, about Fine, an affordable example of this scarce issue, with copy of 1995 P.F. certificate for pair
