Mint N.H., deep rich color and proof-like impression, perfectly centered with Jumbo margins all around, post-office fresh paper, Extremely Fine Gem, a magnificent stamp, ex Killien, "Scarsdale" and Merlin, with 1998 P.F. and 2006 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98 Jumbo; SMQ $725.00), only three have graded higher (at 100) and only two others share this grade, this is also the highest grade we have offered in one of our auctions
2c Carmine (332). Mint N.H., perfectly centered with Jumbo marginsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. AN ABSOLUTELY PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT 1908 WASHINGTON, SCOTT 332, GRADED 100 JUMBO BY P.S.E.
With 2009 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $1,150.00 as 100). This is the highest grade possible on the grading chart, and only three others share it.
4c Orange Brown (334). Mint N.H., mathematically perfect centering with Jumbo margins, deep rich color and proof-like impression, long and full perforationsEXTREMELY FINE GEM. THIS PHENOMENAL STAMP IS GRADED GEM 100 JUMBO BY P.S.E. -- THIS IS THE HIGHEST GRADE POSSIBLE AND IT IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE TO ACHIEVE IT.
With 2012 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $4,500.00 as 100). As an indication of how difficult this issue is to obtain in the higher grades, only two others have graded higher than 98. This stamp stands alone at the top of the chart.
