Beautiful rich color with strong bluish cast, which is characteristic of the true Pigeon Blood Pink, almost perfect centering with wide and well-proportioned margins all around, crisp impression, well-struck New York town datestamp, single shorter perf at top right mentioned only on most recent certificateEXTREMELY FINE. Extra wide and perfectly balanced margins create a "picture frame" around the design, lovely color and impression, topped off with a struck-on-the-nose blue target cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, although 3c 1861's are dirt common, one would have to sift thru thousands to find the peer of this 100-point Gem, with 2010 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ in this grade)
