1c Blue, Re-Issue (102). Rich color on bright paper, cork cancel, Very Fine and choice, only 52 used examples of this issue are recorded in our census, Census No. 102-CAN-52, with 1999 P.S.E. certificate
2c Black, Re-Issue (103). Neatly cancelled by New York City oval grid with numeral "5" at center, wide margins, intense shade on bright paper, accompanying certificate notes two faint creases and alludes to the barest trace of toningVERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE 2-CENT BLACK JACK RE-ISSUE IS A GREAT RARITY IN GENUINE USED CONDITION. ONLY 24 USED EXAMPLES ARE CONTAINED IN OUR CENSUS.
Our census of Scott 103 used, available at our website at http://siegelauctions.com/ dynamic/census/103/103.pdf ,contains 24 copies. However, of these only five or six have centering we would consider Very Fine, and perhaps a couple others could be considered Extremely Fine.

3c Brown Red, Re-Issue (104). Deep shade, wide s.e. at left, neatly cancelled by New York "26" in oval grid and duplex circular datestamp, tiny corner crease at bottom left not mentioned on accompanying certificate and is of little consequenceFINE. A RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 3-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE. ONLY 21 USED EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS, VERY FEW OF WHICH ARE COMPLETELY SOUND.
The 3c Re-Issue was printed from the original plate, which contained 200 subjects in two panes. 10,000 were printed (50 impressions). Only 465 of the 3c were sold; the remaining 9,535 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
Our census of Scott 104 used, available at our website at http://siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/104/104.pdf , records 21 examples, plus one with a non-contemporary cancel. Most have duplex cancels, with a large portion sent from New York. Only seven are confirmed as sound. Five others need to have condition confirmed. The example offered here, with an insignificant corner crease well away from the design, should be considered desirable.

5c Brown, Re-Issue (105). Attractively centered, deep rich color on brilliant white paper, bold New York "22" in oval grid cancelVERY FINE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 5-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE. ONLY 38 USED EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS.
The 5c Re-Issue was printed from a new plate of 100 subjects, compared to the original plate of 200 in two panes. The Re-Issue plate can be identified by a notch at bottom. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). Only 672 of the 5c were sold; the remaining 9,328 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.

12c Black, Re-Issue (107). Sharp proof-like impression on bright white paper, beautifully centered with wide margins, bold strike of duplex cancel, small closed tear at bottomEXTREMELY FINE APPEARANCE. ONLY FOURTEEN USED COPIES ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS. A PHENOMENAL RARITY.
The 12c Re-Issue was printed from a new plate of 100 subjects, compared to the original plate of 200 in two panes. 10,000 stamps were printed (100 impressions). Only 389 of the 12c were sold; the remaining 9,611 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.
Our census of Scott 107 used, available at our website at http://siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/107/107.pdf , records only fourteen examples. Of these, only nine are potentially sound. Three of the nine have not been examined since the early 1970's and are not confirmed as sound, leaving only six confirmed sound copies.

With 2001 P.F. and 2014 P.S.E. certificates, the former as original gum, the latter as disturbed original gum (VF 80; SMQ $5,000.00)

The 24c Re-Issue was printed from the original plate of 200 subjects. A total of 10,000 was printed (50 impressions). Only 346 of the 24c were sold; the remaining 9,654 were destroyed on July 16, 1884.

30c Brownish Orange, Re-Issue (110). Rich color on bright paper, bold strike of New York "4" oval grid cancel, single short perf at top is barely noticeable due to placement of the cancelVERY FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT 1861 RE-ISSUE. ONLY 21 USED EXAMPLES ARE RECORDED IN OUR CENSUS.

Miller collection at The New York Public Library). Of these only four are confirmed as sound. The narrow space between stamps resulted in most copies with perforations touching or cutting into the design.
