$1.00 Black, Ty. II (261A). Wide and balanced margins, bright shade and remarkably detailed impression, face-free circular datestamp confined to the lower left corner of the stampEXTREMEY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE $1.00 TYPE II 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE. A DIFFICULT STAMP TO FIND IN SUCH SUPERB CONDITION.
Ex Hoffner, Rubin and Hinrichs. With 1994 and 2004 P.F. certificates. With 1992 and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $5,500.00). This is the highest grade awarded to date and the only example to achieve this grade.
$2.00 Bright Blue (262). Warm color on bright paper, detailed impression, unobtrusive cancel at right is barely noticeable, long and full perforations all aroundEXTREMELY FINE. A GORGEOUS USED EXAMPLE OF THE $2.00 1894 UNWATERMARKED BUREAU ISSUE.
With 1961 and 1992 P.F. and 2005 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $2,850.00). Only two have graded higher to date (both graded 95) and only two others share this grade.
5c Chocolate (270). Unusually choice centering with wide and balanced margins, rich color and proof-like impression, neat strike of circular datestamp, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp in every respect, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate (Superb 98; SMQ $540.00), this is the highest grade awarded to date and the only example to achieve this grade
10c Dark Green (273). Wide and balanced margins, intense shade and impression, light strike of purple cancel, fresh and Extremely Fine
50c Orange (275). Vibrant color as fresh as the day it was printed, perfectly centered with well-proportioned margins, unobtrusive circular datestamp, Extremely Fine Gem, a beautiful stamp, with 2000 and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $180.00)
$2.00 Dark Blue (277a). Deep rich color and proof-like impression, well-proportioned margins, light strike of cancel at top left leaves entire design clearly visible, Extremely Fine, an elusive stamp in higher grades, with 2000 P.F. certificate
