Original gum, lightly hinged, brilliant color on bright paper, choice centering with wide margins but reperfed at left according to most recent certificate, Extremely Fine appearance, with clear 1984 and 2006 P.F. certificates (XF 90), with 2022 P.S.E. certificate stating reperfed
7c Vermilion (149). Slightly disturbed original gum, vivid color, beautifully balanced margins, Extremely Fine, with 2002 P.F. certificate

24c Purple (153). Rich color nicely complemented by red New York Foreign Mail Geometric cancel (Weiss ST-8P11), Extremely Fine strike, a stamp with great visual appeal, ex Klein and Saadi, with 1991 P.F. certificate
6c Dull Pink (159). Original gum, lightly hinged, rich color on bright paper, choice centering, Very Fine, with 2002 P.F. certificate

Our census of Scott 173 contains, available at https://siegelauctions.com/census/US/Scott/173 , contains only 64 examples, including one in the Miller collection owned by The New York Public Library, leaving 63 available to collectors. We previously had an error in our count that increased the total by ten. We wonder if the modest Scott value was influenced by that error and is artificially low, as 64 examples is a low population number. Many stamps are scissors-separated on at least one side.

Singles of each with bold fancy cancels, No. 182 with "G." of Glastonbury Conn., couple short perfs at upper right, No. 206 with 5-point Star similar to the Glen Allen precancels, Very Fine strikes and the No. 206 also an Extremely Fine stamp (with 2022 P.F. certificate graded XF 90)

Original gum, brilliant color, well-balanced margins, faint horizontal crease at top noted only on most recent certificate, still Extremely Fine, with clear 2015 P.F. certificate (XF 90), with 2022 P.S.E. certificate calling this Scott 159 which it might be, also noting the crease (XF 90), Scott value as No. 186

Our census of Scott 198 contains 65 examples, including one in the Miller collection owned by The New York Public Library, leaving 64 available to collectors. Of these, at least one-third have flaws. Many have poor centering as well.

Our census of Scott 200 contains approximately 68 examples, about a third of which have thins or small faults.

3c Blue Green (207). Nicely balanced margins, bold Star fancy cancel with rim of datestamp in left margin, quite reminiscent of the Glen Allen precancel but not according to most recent certificate, fresh and Very Fine, with 2005 P.S.E. certificate stating this is the Glen Allen Star precancel, (VF 80; specific cancels are unpriced in SMQ), with 2022 P.F. certificate stating genuine but not the Glen Allen Star
4c Blue Green (211). Original gum, lightly hinged, well-centered, fresh color, Very Fine and choice, with 1994 P.F. certificate
3c Vermilion (214). Mint N.H. half-pane of 50 with imprint and plate no. 421 selvage at bottom and selvage at left, brilliant color, pos. 12 and 13 light soiling, otherwise a fresh and Fine-Very Fine Mint N.H. large multiple, Scott value as plate block of ten and 40 singles
