Nov. 15" (1861) circular datestamp on green overall lithographed University of Alabama cover to Lexington Va., light soiling at edges, still Extremely Fine, a beautiful 10c Hoyer & Ludwig college cover, with clear 1997 C.S.A. certificate

5c Green, Stone 1-2 (1). Large margins except where in at lower right, gum staining, tied by indistinct strike of Griffin Ga. circular datestamp on 1862 cover with magnificent Synodical Female College blue cameo corner card with illustration of building, to Reynolds Ga., expertly cleaned to reduce stains and toning, stamp lifted and reaffixed slightly askew from original position, appears Very Fine, the building on this corner card was used as an emergency hospital for Confederate soldiers from the battlefields of Jonesboro, Griffin and Atlanta (it burned in 1865), the only other example we have encountered with a General Issue stamp was offered in our 2014 sale of the Dr. Brandon collection, with 2004 C.S.A. certificate, C.S.A.
