With 2014 P.F. certificate (XF 90). This is one of only three original-gum examples of Scott 162 graded 90 by the Philatelic Foundation, with none higher. By way of comparison, P.S.E. has awarded only three a grade of 90 (one of the three is 90J), with none higher
15c Yellow Orange (163). Original gum, Jumbo margins and choice centering, vibrant color on bright white paper, insignificant short perf at topEXTREMELY FINE. A STUNNING JUMBO-MARGINED ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 15-CENT 1873 CONTINENTAL BANK NOTE ISSUE.

Original gum, beautiful bright color, exceptionally well-centered with wide margins, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb stamp, with 1997 and 2006 P.F. certificates (XF-Superb 95), this is the highest grade awarded by The Philatelic Foundation to an original-gum Scott 178 and it is shared by no others, P.S.E. has graded three at 95 (two are Mint N.H.) with none higher
