3c Rose (65). Mint N.H., brilliant color, Very Fine, with 2006 P.F. certificate, Scott Retail as hinged
3c Rose (65). Tied by full detailed strike of Eagle & Shield fancy cancel with "Corry Pa. Oct. 5" circular datestamp to the left on piece, Very Fine, this early Corry Eagle & Shield is much scarcer that the later versions, this is one of the finest genuine strikes extant (we emphasize "genuine", because this cancel was faked by John A. Fox)

Superbly centered with perfs well clear of design all around, intense shade with strong purplish hue, red grid cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2013 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $850.00), we would have graded this 95, and we are confident collectors will bid on it as if it were a 95 (for reference the SMQ would be $4,900.00 as a used 95)
24c Red Lilac (70). Wide margins and almost perfectly centered, marvelous color complemented by a pretty blue segmented cork cancel (probably Chicago), Extremely Fine
24c Red Lilac (70). Intense shade and proof-like impression on bright paper, face-free large Boston "Paid" grid cancel, well-proportioned margins, fresh and Extremely Fine, a pretty stamp, with 1996 P.F. certificate
24c Red Lilac (70). Balanced margins and beautifully centered, light town cancel, strong color, Extremely Fine, with 2013 .P.S.E. certificate
24c Steel Blue (70b). Virtually full original gum, crisp shade and sharp impression, light gum creases and tiny eroded pin-point spot top left, some minor discoloration around the hardly visible holeA FRESH AND EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 24-CENT STEEL BLUE.
Despite this stamp's small unobtrusive flaws, it should draw considerable attention, inasmuch as original-gum examples of the 24c 1861 Steel Blue are exceedingly rare.
24c Steel Blue (70b). Rich color in the true Steel Blue shade, neat strike of San Francisco cogwheel cancel, well-balanced marginsEXTREMELY FINE. A MAGNIFICENT EXAMPLE OF THE 24-CENT 1861 STEEL BLUE WITH CLEAR STRIKE OF THE SAN FRANCISCO COGWHEEL CANCEL.
With 2005 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $2,400.00). Only one has graded higher (at 95)
24c Violet, Thin Paper (70c). Intense color and proof-like impression, unobtrusive cancel, Very Fine, an attractive stamp, with 1985 and 2009 P.F. certificates
24c Violet, Thin Paper (70c). Attractively centered, great depth of color in the "Cincinnati Violet" shade with appropriate blue grid cancel and circular datestamp applied at Cincinnati, few minor perf flaws, otherwise Very Fine, scarce
30c Orange (71). Vibrant color, choice centering with wide and balanced margins, Extremely Fine Gem, with 1999 P.F. and 2005 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $2,000.00)
30c Orange (71). Horizontal strip of three, brilliant color, bold circle of wedges cancels, right stamp few shorter perfs at lower right, otherwise Very Fine, a pretty strip, with 2008 P.S.E. certificate
90c Blue (72). Deep rich color and detailed impression, choice centering with enormous margins on all sides, unobtrusive target cancelEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A TRULY OUTSTANDING USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1861 90-CENT BLUE WITH EXCEPTIONALLY WIDE MARGINS. THIS IS THE ONLY 90-CENT 1861 GRADED GEM 100 BY P.S.E.
Ex Hinrichs and Dauer. 1991 and 2004 P.F. certificates no longer accompany. With 2012 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 98, SMQ $14,000.00 as 98). This is the highest grade awarded to this Scott number in any category (OG, used etc.) and it is the only example to achieve this grade.
5c Red Brown (75). Deep rich color on bright paper, outstanding centering, neat grid cancel, Extremely Fine, Brookman notes (in something resembling English) "I consider the used Red Brown to be more scarce than Buff but the Buff is more scarce unused", with 2013 P.S.E. certificate (XF 90; SMQ $1,200.00), only four have graded higher (all at 95)
24c Lilac (78). Remarkably wide margins, rich color cancelled by perfect bold strike of Geometric "Cogwheel" fancy cancel, Extremely Fine, spectacular, Scott Retail as ordinary used stamp
