5c Red Brown (12). Huge margins to ample at left, rich color, tied by "New Orleans La. Jul. 2" circular datestamp with trace of red transit datestamp on small blue piece, Extremely Fine
5c Red Brown (12). Full even margins, deep rich color, bold New Orleans circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine, with 1990 P.F. certificate
5c Red Brown (12). C Relief, large to huge margins, wonderful rich color and impression, very lightly cancelled by Boston large "Paid" grid, Very Fine and choice, ex "European Connoisseur", with 2015 P.F. certificate
10c Green, Ty. I, IV (13, 16). First large margins, neat strike of circular datestamp, second Position 64L1, three margins and in at right, grid cancel, few small faults, Fine appearing examples of the two scarcest types
10c Green, Ty. I (13). Large margins and brilliant color, unobtrusive circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, a superb used example of the 10c Type I, which comes only from the bottom row of Plate 1, with 1997 P.F. and 2021 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95), only nine used examples grade higher, SCV $750
10c Green, Ty. II (14). Massive margins including left sheet margin and large part of adjoining stamp at right, bright color, light town circular datestamp cancel

10c Green, Ty. II (14). Huge balanced margins all around, deep rich color on bright paper, very lightly struck circular datestamp cancel, Extremely Fine Gem, ex Morton, with 2003 P.F. and 2017 P.S.E. certificates (Superb 98)
10c Green, Ty. II (14). Huge margins including significant portion of adjoining stamp at right and part of adjoining stamp at bottom, rich color on bright paper, grid cancels, Extremely Fine Gem, ex Kirke, with 2004 and 2006 P.F. certificates (XF-Superb 95)
10c Green, Ty. II, III (14, 15). Balance of eight singles and one pair, about an even mix between Nos. 14 and 15, several with large margins including horizontal pair with huge margins at sides showing portions of adjoining stamps, ample at top and bottom, bold paint red circular datestamp cancel, thin spot, appears Extremely Fine, one single tied to piece and cancelled in red, couple others with large margins, a couple small flaws but overall Very Fine or appear so, two older P.F. certificates accompany

12c Black, Very Thin Paper (17 var). Full to mostly large margins, fine impression typical of printing on thin paper, grid cancel, Very Fine, the thin papers are often associated with Part India, which is described by Ashbrook as "undoubtedly from the very first impressions from the Twelve Cent plate. The engravings are very sharp and resemble die proofs or plate proofs on India. The shades of both these items are of the earliest known, the distinctive grayish.", with 2021 P.F. certificate
12c Black (17). Two horizontal pairs, both large margins to clear, one shows part of three adjoining stamps, one with blue circular datestamp and red transit and small scissors-cut at top left, other black circular datestamp, Fine-Very Fine, first with 2016 P.F. certificate
12c Black (17). Horizontal pair, Positions 9-10L1 noted on back, very intense shade, ample margins, central strike of circular datestamp and trace of red cancel, Very Fine and choice

12c Black, Diagonal Half Used as 6c (17a). Lower right half, margins just in on other sides, tied across the cut by manuscript and by "New-York 12cts. Feb. 24" integral-rate circular datestamp on blue piece, Fine example apparently not accepted for postage, with 1999 P.F. certificate, Scott value as a full cover $2,500

Balance of eight used singles, all with handstamp cancels including one dark blue and one with both blue and red, all have four margins and a couple have large margins, the one cancelled in dark blue has large even margins all around and Extremely Fine appearance (and a fault or this would be an individual lot), another with bottom sheet margin, a few with small faults, overall Very Fine or appear so
