State Hunting Permits Governor Edition Sheets. 28 sheets of Governor Edition State Hunting Permits in one binder with slipcover, including two of 1990 Arizona, 1989 Alaska, 1989 Montana, New Jersey Nos. 6c, 6Ae, 10d (signed), 10Ag (two, signed), 1989 New Hampshire, 1989 Oklahoma, 1989 West Virginia (resident and non-resident), Louisiana No. 1b four sheets with consecutive serial numbers, also Louisiana No. 1Ab four sheets with consecutive serial numbers, Rhode Island 1a four sheets with consecutive serial numbers, Mint N.H.VERY FINE. The Governor Editions were a special limited edition offering, sold at a premium over face value, sometimes through sealed bid auctions. The proceeds were used to help waterfowl habitats. Scott value as singles
Arkansas, $5.50 1981 Mallards Hunting Permit, Booklet (AR 1a). Complete booklet with Mint N.H. pane of 30 and covers with four staples, cover with identifying text "No. 193741 to No. 193770", cover only with trivial toned band at far bottom left, Very Fine and very rare, collectors were generally unaware that the stamps were available in booklet format and orders for collectors were filled from normal stock, the booklet panes differ from the normal sheets in that they have an extra row of selvage at top to accommodate the staples and so are different from the normally issued stamps, the experiment of making booklets was deemed a failure and discontinued, illustrated and described in a January 4, 1993 Linn's Stamp News article by Bob Dumaine who was aware of only three panes, listed but unpriced in Scott

The $9.00 1982 North Dakota Hunting Permit was issued in sheets of ten, and all have serial numbers from 1-20,000. The booklets were issued in panes of five with selvage on both sides. The majority was issued in sheets of 30.

It can be very difficult to assemble a meaningful collection of the State Hunting Permit stamps, by virtue of the fact that there are simply so many of them. The collection offered here presents buyers with an outstanding opportunity to acquire most of them at one time.
